School Messenger Support

BVSD district offices and schools use SchoolMessenger to send important email, phone and text messages to parents, students and staff.

Parents, students and staff can get information on SchoolMessenger, and to opt in for text message alerts, etc, on this page of the new website: https://www.bvsd.org/parents-students/apps/schoolmessenger-support

    Additional instructions:

    1. Log in to SchoolMessenger Parent Portal: https://go.schoolmessenger.com/#/home
    2. Choose Sign Up, if it is your first time. Or the Forgot Password feature, if you are having trouble remembering your password. For employeesSchoolMessenger does not use the same credentials as the ones we use for the BVSD portal.
    3. Go to the Left and click on the 3 lines stacked (Hamburger menu)
    4. Click on Preferences
    5. That page will give you options for the information you can receive and how it will be delivered to you. Parents/staff are the only ones with the capacity to change these preferences. Green means you give permission to those avenues: Phone calls, text messages and emails. We recommend attendance is always checked for parents.
    6. Also, you need to send a text with the word "Yes" to 67587 from your phone, which lets SchoolMessenger know that you are okay with receiving texts at that number. This is a one time opt in, unless you change your cell phone number.
